Pride in Education
The Pride in Education (PIE) program presents a sense of value and self-respect. This program offers skill, understanding and factual knowledge that prepare a student for the transition into higher learning. The PIE program introduces students, who show an interest in Science, Technology or Business, to colleges through an “Exploratory College Entrance Experience (ECEE)”. This process enhances the accomplishments of the selected students in the fore mentioned disciplines, work ethic and concern for others. The program not only takes the student to visit a college or university; the student attends classes, seminars, and interacts with students of diverse cultures. Small group discussions allow students to share their ideas and feelings about their experience with educators, policy makers, and peers.
